Nikon D1/D1X/D1H resources

31 December 2021

Nikon D1X Nikon's first pro digital SLR, which wrested the growing pro DSLR market away from Kodak's Nikon-based DCS series. Original D1 had a 2.7MP sensor, and was followed a couple of years later by a high-speed (5FPS) D1H and 5.3MP D1X. Fast autofocus is still impressive today and these are solid cameras, built to survive professional use and abuse, but the tiny rear monitor and small sensors betray their age. A future collectible for sure, though values are yet to reflect the D1's significance in digital photography history.
