Entry level digital SLR that replaced the two-year-old EOS 1200D in 2016, adding a higher-resolution rear monitor, wifi picture transfer and an upgraded DIGIC 4+ processing engine. An 18MP sensor and 1080p30 video capability make it versatile, but more sophisticated cameras deliver faster autofocus and a bigger, brighter viewfinder in a more robust body.
