JCII

Japan Camera Industry Institute, later known as the Japan Camera and Optical Instrument Inspection and Testing Institute.

JCII is most often seen on gold-coloured quality stickers on Japanese camera equipment (above) from the 1950s to the 1980s.

JCII certified that the design met certain quality standards, not that the individual item had passed a quality inspection.
