FP
Flat peak, but often assumed to mean focal plane. FP is a type of flash bulb designed for use with a focal plane shutter.
A focal plane shutter does not expose the whole frame at once at fast shutter speeds, so for flash to cover the whole frame at these speeds the flash duration needs to be longer than normal. FP bulbs were designed to have a duration of up to 1/30s.
