Ever-ready case
Two-piece camera case with a bottom part which encases the camera body, and a top part which can be opened or removed entirely.
Very popular in the 1960s and 1970s but now virtually extinct. Those who argue that these cases are not as versatile as they look deride them as never-ready cases.
